My trip
What's this? (export / import)
Export JSON saves this trip (trip name and stops in order, with each stop's date and notes) to a trip.json file. Use it as a backup, or to move the trip to another browser or device, or to share it with a fishing buddy. Your Catch Log is not included; it has its own Export button on the Catch Log tab.
Export CSV is a spreadsheet copy (Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets). It is for reading only and cannot be imported back.
Import JSON loads a trip file exported here (or written by hand from the example). You then choose: Replace the current trip, or Merge (add the file's stops to the end of the current trip, skipping waters already in it).
How to use it: 1) on the old browser click Export JSON; 2) send/copy the file to the new device; 3) on the new device open Trips → Import JSON and pick the file.
Format: {"title": "...", "items": [{"id": 2261, "name": "Elliðaár", "date": "2027-07-10", "notes": "..."}]}. id is the water's id in this app (shown in Waterbodies/detail as "#id"); if an id is missing or unknown the name is used to find it. date (YYYY-MM-DD) and notes are optional.
Star waters (☆) on the map, in the Waterbodies list or in a detail panel to add them. Drag ⠿ (or use ▲▼) to change the order. Everything is saved in this browser only (localStorage).
